Into the wild

Into the wild is a book writed by Jon Krakauer and later made into a movie that was popular some years ago. The book talks about Alexander Supertram or also call "Alex", a man whos family is rich and has almost everything that he wants. However, Alex tries to probe a point by making a trip to Alaska with an old truck, saying that he doesn't need money and people to be happy and that he alone could make a life by himself, until his dead body was found 50 meters from the finish line.

The book and also movie is a good and well writed history that makes the readers learn about life while reading the book. Alex is a intelligent and complex guy, not only for his decisions that he made through the book that doesn't feel right, he is still intelligent enough to memorize more than a 100 editable plants that can be found in the while and even more if you are able to cross Canada and Alaska alone in an old van. Before his death, Alex discover that he was wrong about his point, that family is important and necessary and thinking about his family while being close to his perish. The novel teaches an important point through the story, the point where people don't realize what they have until they lose it and it show through the greed of the protagonist to probe his point, even though it costed him his life...

Overall, the book is great if you have time to kill if you are not doing anything, it as a good amount of scenes where they really hit you like a reader, and even more during the last moments of the character. Into the wild is a book that could be reader in a couple of hours while setting in a chair or just laying in your bed and cant sleep. Overall, I really liked the book personally, but I think some things are not super interesting and if I say the true one or two parts of the book were boring and I fell asleep while reading it๐Ÿ˜….

  1. Into the Wild seems like a really interesting book. I'll have to read it when I have time. I'm curious, around how long did he survive by himself in the wilderness?

  2. Seems like a more intense version of the book Hatchet, which I read many years ago. As an appreciator of the outdoors myself, I think I'd enjoy such a work of survival and finesse. Thanks for posting!
