Six of Crows

First of all, I have to admit,  I have been working on a different book that I had planned to write about on my blog, but unfortunately, once I got halfway through, it took a very interesting turn and I decided to stop reading it to protect my mental health. So, I have been reading Six of Crows a lot, so I still have a good amount to write about!

Recently, I have been reading Six of Crows. I am still working on it, but this book has been great so far. I have not been able to put it down. It is about these people who live in a town full of violence and gangs. Then they learn that a stimulant has been adapted, creating a dangerously powerful drug, and the effects could be catastrophic. Only one person knows how to make this drug, but he is locked away in a heavily guarded prison. So, they go to free him but face constant struggles.

I really recommend reading this book (especially if you enjoy a good plot twist!), but I will admit it is very confusing in the beginning. Please stick with it, it gets so much better! I was originally very overwhelmed by all of the different people and places, but things will come together and make a lot more sense.

  1. Protecting your mental health is so real ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Anyways, I own this book, but never got around to reading it. However, the plot sounds interesting, so I will definitely try it out! I wonder what the catastrophic event is, and how the person managed to make the drug.

  2. I read this book about three years ago and I can definitely agree that it felt a bit confusing at first!! Later I realized that it's largely because the author intended for the Shadow and Bone series to be read prior to the Six of Crows duology, but I could never get myself to read it๐Ÿ˜ญ. Overall, though, it's definitely a great book and I absolutely adore the main characters!
